Your Skipper

I'm Simon, owner and skipper of Deep Blue. Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, I spent nearly twenty years working in Oxford for a science research company before relocating to Eastbourne in the summer of 2021.

I left my career in Mechanical Engineering to take up a life on the waves.

I am also a wedding/event photographer around my boat charter trips. I am an experienced videographer and drone pilot. I was trained to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standard to fly drones commercially, and held a PFCO for a number of years.

I hold a valid commercial endorsement from the RYA

to skipper chartered motor boats upto 24m in length.
